W.J. Grosvenor & Co., Inc. has a long history of service to the construction and finishing trades in New England. Founded in 1910 by Walter J. Grosvenor as a builder of sidewalks and railroads, Grosvenor has evolved and changed along with the times. Bernard S. McHugh, the father of Chairman Emeritus Joseph R. McHugh and the grandfather of current President and CEO Bernard J. McHugh, began working at W.J. Grosvenor & Co., Inc. in 1912. When Mr. Grosvenor passed away in 1930, Mr. McHugh purchased the company and it has been a family run business ever since. The company has gone through many changes over the past 97 years and is now one of the major distributors of flooring supplies, tools, and accessories in the Northeast. We are proud to stock products from the most prominent names in flooring supplies in all our stores and warehouses : Johnsonite, Schonox, Silpro, Custom Tech Powerhold, Mapei, Parabond, Crain, Orcon, Gundlach, QEP/Roberts, Futura, Traxx, Duo-Fast, and Leggett & Platt, just to name a few.
Mark Parets, with more than three decades of experience in the floor covering installation industry, began his career at his family’s sales agency, Raznick-Faulkner, Inc. (RF).
While at RF, Mark focused on growing the sales agency’s residential and commercial flooring installation business by servicing floor covering supply distributors across the USA and Canada. In 1998, Mark took the helm at RF and relocated from California to Massachusetts, where he raised two accomplished sons.
In addition to his work with RF (now dissolved), Mark has spent the past decade expanding the market footprint for a local Boston-based surface preparation manufacturer. He did this by increasing both sales and market share exponentially. A fixture in the floor covering installation industry, Mark has also worked as a sales executive and manager for three different manufacturers of adhesives, powders, tile products, tools, and sundry installation products.
Mark’s vast career has provided him with a deep understanding of all facets of residential and commercial installation products and applications. He is proud to bring his vast knowledge of the entire sales and distribution process to WJ Grosvenor, where he will continue to build relationships in an industry he loves.
